Oh dear HB. Listening to rumours rather than checking the most trustworthy source in the world (the official website)? That's a schoolgirl error - do 100 lines ;)

The correct date for last night's game has been on the website since the re-arrangement - i.e. the day it happened, over a week ago. Are you telling me that this is not good enough? I'm fairly sure the committee would love to phone each of our followers, but it's not reeeeally viable is it...? Or are you telling me that you don't visit the website? I'm shocked :yellowcard

Can someone give me a Positive please?!?

At the risk of repeating myself in the future, can you pleeeeeease try and remember them this time ( ):

1. Senior team have 4 points from the last 6, plus a few talented gems that we will do well to hold on to
2. We have a reserve team for the first time in ages (no thanks to the Welsh League who insist the reserves must play on the same bit of grass as the firsts)
3. A thriving youth section (cheers Ollie for helping me out here)
4. A committed bunch of people who give up unhealthy amounts of time to run the club and raise finances
5. Five players who live in NP44 - four more than last season - wahooooo!
6. A couple of things in the pipeline that can't be revealed at the mo

See HB, it's more fun being positive, you should try it some time. Oh, and it's "AFC" not "FC". But if you missed the date of last night's match being on the website's front page for over a week, i guess we can't expect you to notice that's it's "AFC", eh? Bless

Mr Counting Crows, i think youve just made a complete arse of your self by replying to comments made by 'Ollie' and directing them at myself? Schoolgirl error!

I would just like to pick you up on a few points from the other day while im here. The main one being your reply about the midfield playing goalkeeper and that maybe he was a midfield player who had to play in goals? Well the 'Official Web Site' says he is a 'Goalkeeper who can also play in midfield', so if the official site says that then surely the manager signed him as a Goalkeeper who can play in midfield? But never mind, i also said he played well so wont mention it again.

I want the club to do well, you should know that because you know who this is, your not stupid?! But what i want is fair play and that isnt happening. The youth deserve more and are not getting it, something that you, in your position can have a big bearing on.

I will refrain from being negative about the first team when they decide to spend some time helping the youth, until then i will continue to be honest and if thats means negative then so be it. Also being negative can have the reverse affect and make people do the opposite so if i said everything was great at ct'A'fc would you agree?

Oh and i wont mention the reserves result on Saturday dont worry!

My mistake. I have no problem admitting my mistakes. Please accept my apologies. You can see how i made the mistake though. My replies still stand irrespective of who i'm replying too.

I'm playing with you. I put that stuff on the site so knew full well what it says. If you can say silly stuff about putting a goalkeeper in midfield is wierd at this level, then i can say silly stuff too. But you're right, it doesn't really matter.

I want the club to do well, you should know that because you know who this is, your not stupid?!
- yes i know who you are. That's why your comments are all the more baffling to me...

But what i want is fair play and that isnt happening. The youth deserve more. I will refrain from being negative about the first team when they decide to spend some time helping the youth

This is a very short-sighted comment. It implies that the first team only deserve credit for visiting the youth players, and that on-the pitch performances count for nothing. Are you actually being serious?! You're going to spend your time slagging off a perfectly good bunch of people until they pop along and join in with a training session with the youth section?! Jeeeez....

Can you spell out what the youth "deserve". They recently decided they didn't want help with fundraising. Perhaps they know what they want / don't want more than you do?

Oh and i wont mention the reserves result on Saturday dont worry!
- why not? Don't they deserve to be slagged off just as much as the firsts for not spending time with the youth?

I'm sorry for the rant, but this sort of attitude is making my blood boil. But at least we've found out the motive for your negative comments about the lads who play for the firsts. And people can ignore further negative messages from you because as you've admitted you're not doing it because they play bad, you're doing it because they not spending time with the youth.

We're not going to be able to look one another in the eye from now on are we? Shame. Anyway i've had enough of this. From now on i'm only going to talk about football. I'll let you 'defend' the youth - i only hope they know what a sterling job you're doing for them...whether they like it or not...

If you feel that we cant look each other in the face anymore then thats fine. Seems a bit silly as im not directing any of this at any individuals. I know how hard people work for the club and like i said all i want is the best for the club (meaning all teams). I dont want first team players to just turn up at youth training sessions, thats the point. Nobody has been introduced to any of the first team or reserve set-up as yet and i personally think thats bad.

As far as the youth not wanting help with fund-raising then i dont know where you get your information from mate but i suggest you check the facts. All that was said was they didnt need send someone to a senior fundraising meeting when we have our own. But thats going a bit too far to be honest, shouldnt be discussed on here. If you want to know more then youve got my number, ring me and i'll tell you a bit more info.

Will leave it at that because i dont think its going to help if i continue to post on here whether it be positive or negative.

Allthough i will say Good Luck to all those involved in the first / reserve teams for this season, i personally dont know any of the players and havent named any of them, unlike the comments left on here last season, it will be a difficult season and all i hope is that the current management team are given more time than previous managers to turn the club around, not going to happen in 9 months.

So you need to blame the management then, surely? Not blame the poor buggars who play for the firsts... That's why i got annoyed. The blame - if any - is misplaced. And i didn't like that. I'm sure we will be able to look one another in the eye. It's just a bit weird arguing the toss on a forum.

We obviously have different sources. You live in Cwmbran and are closer to the action, so i will concede that you probably know more than me.

It's a shame if you decide not to post again. But if you only have one thing to say (i.e. the stuff in paragraph one about no intros etc.) then you may as well not post, but instead write to the club management instead - it'll be more effective i would have thought. You're unlikely to be a catalyst for change by posting on a football forum... Anyway. Good luck either way.

Just to clarify to everyone, when i say first team i mean the set-up, not just the players and manager.

Counting Crows - I have organised a kick around for all involved with CTAFC tomorrow night at Cwmbran Stadium, all welcome, had to keep as adult only but quite a few of the youth managers will be there. It is just a bit of fun and will be held every week if we get enough turn up. Tomorrow will be indoors, then astro from next week. £2.50 per person to cover costs. Any money over will be put back into the club, all levels so maybe youd like to have a game, i know youve always fancied yourself as a player! Invite goes to anyone interested.
