The first team home game v Porthcawl on Saturday 14th November has been postponed due to Wales playing Scotland in a Nationwide Friendly International at the Cardiff City Stadium, ko 3pm.

The FAW council at it's meeting yesterday decided to invoke it's rule which prohibits football being played within a 50 mile radius of an international match venue on the day of the match. Consequently, all such matches in The Welsh Football League that day will have to be postponed and re-arranged in accordance with League rule 17.

What a lot of tosh.

Last year Celtic played Risca in the Gwent Senior Cup the same day as Wales v Liechtenstein.

Why not allow clubs to kick off earlier if they want to play the same day to save the inconvenience of potentially travelling midweek ?

I completely agree. If it was a World Cup qualifier and we were still in with a chance of qualifying I would understand.....
