Cracking win over Porth

Cracking win over Porth

I was nervous prior to yesterday's game, concerned we might get another 'Treharris'. But the team were excellent and deserved the win. They played really well for about 75 mins scoring 3 goals, including a cracking 30-yarder from Gerwyn Jones.

Naturally Porth gave it a real go in the second half and we got a bit nervy in the last 10, but the first clean sheet of the season was achieved.

Well done to Barrie, Gareth and the team - a very professional performance :D

Brilliant result well done lads! Wish I had gone now! Got up late and had some work to do in the morning etc. Should have made that extra effort shame on me. Still went to the stadium for a look at the reserves, it was an entertaining match, but unfortunately not the right result for the Crows. Still great result up at Porth keep it up lads. I am just off for a walk around town with a Crows top on, just to show the Cross and Celtic we are still here and kicking a~~e! :D :D :D . Well done lads made my day!!

You missed a good game mate. The lads did tremendously well. Thing is, i've got a feeling that once again this season, our home form will not be as impressive as our away form.

Even last season - where we only won 3 league games - the two most impressive wins were 6-0 away at YM and 2-0 away at high-flying Bettws with only 10 men.

I wonder why we've historically done better away than at home? Is it because visitors up their game when visiting a big stadum? This would be understandable in the Welsh League, but not when we were in the WPL... Or is it because our own players find it thouroughly uninspiring players miles from whatever crowd we attract? Maybe it feels like playing at a leisure centre!

As i now have no car (sold the lean green machine on Monday) i'll be using good old fashioned public transport this weekend - so i'll either be early or 2 hours late
